(1) About BPI certification

BPI certification refers to a compost biodegradable plastic product certification program jointly established by the American Biodegradable Products Institute and the United States Composting Council (USCC). The biodegradable plastic market in the United States and Canada has recognized the mark.


eSUN biodegradable material polycaprolactone (PCL), after obtaining the European DIN certification, has successfully obtained the American BPI certification. This also means that eSUN PCL series products are widely recognized by European and American countries.

(二)  About PCL

Polycaprolactone (PCL) is white particles, non-toxic, insoluble in water, and easily soluble in a variety of polar organic solvents. PCL has good biocompatibility and is compatible with many conventional plastics, as well as good biodegradability, it can be completely degraded into water and CO2. In addition, PCL also has good shape memory temperature control properties, and is widely used in the production and processing of drug carriers, plasticizers, degradable plastics, nanofiber spinning, shaping materials, toys, etc.



eSUN has the world's only PCL industrial continuous polymerization capability. PCL has two major directions for biomedical and biodegradable packaging applications. Biomedical applications include low-temperature radiotherapy fixation plates and bone fixation low-temperature thermoplastic plates, and biodegradable packaging applications are becoming more and more widely used with the global ban on plastics.
