What is REACH certification?

"Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, referred to as REACH is the European Union's regulations for the preventive management of all chemicals entering its market. REACH regulations came into force on June 1, 2007. It has been the most important regulation in the history of the European Union.

 

The UK REACH regulation is rooted in the EU REACH regulation but operates independently. EU REACH regulations apply to all member states of the EU and Northern Ireland. UK REACH provides a regulatory framework for British chemicals and related products entering the region. Products not included in the REACH management system cannot be sold in the EU, Northern Ireland nor the UK market.

 

As of January 2023, the list of REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) has been officially updated to 233 items. As a unified high-standard chemical management system, the REACH regulations help promote the innovation of the chemical industry, protect the environment, and provide users with a more reliable and assured experience and more environmentally friendly products.
